Here's something fun:
Gary Busey was paid $10,000 to not appear in Under Siege 2: Dark Territory.
When the decision was announced to produce a sequel to the Steven Segal action movie Under Siege, the film's producers quickly mailed out cheques to the first movie's lead stars. Gary Busey (who played the film's lead villain) was included on the list.
When it came time to shoot the sequel, and Gary Busey showed up on set, only one person realized the producers' mistake.
"Wait a minute, didn't Gary Busey's villain character die at the end of the first Under Siege?"
The producers glanced back and forth, looking to each other for answers.
"I don't know," said one, "I never actually watched it."
Embarassed, the film's producers let him keep his $10,000 cheque but only on the condition that he would not continue to show up on the set.
Naturally, Gary Busey agreed.
